Exspeedite CheckPoint Driver — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Exspeedite CheckPoint Driver mobile application (“App”) collects, uses, and shares information when drivers use continuous GPS tracking for active freight loads.

Who this App is for

The App is intended for professional drivers assigned a secure CheckPoint tracking token by a carrier, broker, or dispatcher. It is not directed to children under 13.

Information we collect

Location data. When you turn tracking on and grant location permission, the App collects precise location (GPS coordinates, accuracy, speed, and heading when available), including while the App is in the background if you grant “Always” / “Allow all the time” location access. Location is used only to update the status of the load you are tracking.
Device and session data. Approximate battery level (when available), device timestamps, and technical logs needed to deliver tracking reliably.
Load assignment data. The tracking token and related load/stop context returned by CheckPoint (for example carrier name and next stop) so the App can show your assignment.
Proof of delivery photos. When you scan or upload signed BOL / POD pages, the App sends those images (and optional GPS at upload time) to CheckPoint so dispatch can review delivery proof. Camera and photo library access are used only for this purpose and only when you tap Scan page or Add from photos.

How we use information

To provide continuous or milestone load tracking to your company and authorized shippers/receivers on CheckPoint.
To mark operational events such as “On the way to shipper” when you start tracking.
To capture and store multi-page proof of delivery photos you choose to upload.
To secure and improve the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.

How information is shared

Location and load status are sent to CheckPoint servers (exspeeditecheckpoint.com) and made available to the company that assigned your load and other parties that company has authorized in CheckPoint (for example dispatchers or shipper visibility portals). We do not sell your personal information. Service providers that host or operate CheckPoint infrastructure may process data solely to provide the service.

Data retention

Tracking and location history are retained according to the customer’s CheckPoint workspace settings and operational/legal needs, then deleted or anonymized per those policies.

Request data deletion

To request deletion of data collected by the Exspeedite CheckPoint Driver app, email [email protected] with the subject “CheckPoint Driver data deletion.” Include your name and, if you have it, the tracking token.

We will delete or anonymize App-collected location, device/session, and token/assignment data from CheckPoint systems we control. Load records your company keeps in its CheckPoint workspace may be retained for that customer’s operational or legal needs, then deleted or anonymized per that workspace’s policy. We will confirm by email.

Your choices

You can deny or change location permission in iOS/Android Settings at any time. Without location, continuous tracking will not work.
You can turn tracking off in the App to stop background GPS updates for the current session.
You can uninstall the App to stop all App-based collection from that device.

Security

Tracking uses a secure token. Access to live load data is controlled by the CheckPoint customer’s workspace and permissions. Transmission uses HTTPS.

Children’s privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
